I decided stiffness>weight on that purchase. It was a tough call, but I figure I can always buy an Extralite later. The AX is another 30-40g lighter than Extralite. That is just plain scarey.

It really is a work of art, it is definitely a second or third bike probably for climbing, I am 6ft 157, they told me for climbing out of the saddle I should be under 150 using their stem

Yeah, as much of a weight weenie as I am. One place I would rather not skimp on stiffness is the stem. I value the stiffness for climbing, and sprinting quite a bit.

You could be a little safer and go with a heavy bike at 11.5 lbs, it would still set you back north of 15k if you could wrestle one of these frames away from one of the lucky few who were able to buy one.

No need to complain about the chain being in the wrong ring and the crank not being level, I am sure the person that owns this bike does not care if we think it is hot or not.

I wonder why the hoods are so high, he really has to bend his wrist up to brake.

white is slightly more impractical than blue due to isp. ten pounders are certainly off the scale impractical.

pun, haha.

no kidding, if you want to post a picture of a $15,000 bike, post it in one of the many "if you had your pick of any bike no matter the cost or availablity or if you won the lottery or........" type threads. Post YOUR bike and a picture of YOUR bike, not one you found off the internet that looks similar to yours.

I do know that AX pulled out of the US. IIRC it was over some lawsuit?

I guarantee, if I wouldve put the cosmic carbones on that blue giant, it wouldve been hot.

their customer service is a nightmare and their components are extremely fragile...i stripped carbon off a rim just taking off a tubular. no way I'd trust a frame from them...go with crumpton or Scott or bh or.....

Dang man! You have four hot bikes. They are all nice proportioned and configured. I'm having serious TCR envy right now.

Reds for sure, I do admit Dura Ace build quality and shifts slightly better, but Reds double tap and quickness can't be beat!

I just don't like the white accents (aside from the spokes), sorry. Probably rides like a dream though so cheers for rad bikes!

J HY 03-04-12 02:23 PM

My new rig, in its rough initial setup state. Teschner SL7, SRAM Red drivetrain, Rival cranks for now. 3T Ergosum Carbon bars, Powertap out back. Have at it...
