Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's not that these bikes aren't nice, but I feel like the Hot or Not thread has dropped it's standards quite a bit to compensate for UCIMBZ nazi-like approach. Nice bikes, not really Hot though. All the bikes on this page are Stock, no?

heh thanks, didn't think about the Tron thing but you're right. After riding a bright yellow bike for so long I'm glad I went with something in black. Red has always been my favorite color so I love the red accents on it.

+10! I feel the majority of the bikes posted here belong in the "show us your bike" thread.

It is the hot or not thread, cast your vote. If this was the bike porn thread likely these bikes would never have been posted. Sorry to get you away from looking at the same three bikes.

OK. I'll say it. A bike with a dork disk shouldn't be posted here. You might not care, but it violates thread standards.

Flip it.

The spark that got UCIMBZ banned was an ugly, poorly photographed bike. It's too bad. The dude had the nicest collection of bikes on BF.

The post your bike thread often has nicer bikes.

+1. I often wondered if he was in the biz or just extremely compulsive with loads of disposable income. Or both.

I love them, and I really didn't want to buy them. They are pricy, but light shift great, and I haven't killed the small ring yet. I've killed numerous Sram 34t rings, one in less than a month.

I really like the 25R/23F combo. It seems to turn better too. I love that setup now. It is fantastic. I bought 25R for all my clincher wheels now too.

If they are not hot, just say not. All the bikes on this page so far are a not for me. Nice bikes, just nothing special.

He has some nicely spec'd and setup bikes...but speaking visually...they never really appealed to me. None of them had an aggressive look to them.

I guess I prefer more "fast" looking bikes like SA, Wooosh, and Primo's rides...

Not. Dork disc still on and stem up with a lot of spacers.

That's how I was fit to the bike. However I was getting a little pain between my shoulders on today's ride after only about 10 miles or so. I may try dropping the spacers or something, see what happens.

Interesting seeing the differences in saddle height between all those bikes, looking at where the saddle is in relation to the concrete block mortar joint behind it, which is 40 inches above the ground.

You also have to account for BB height and crankarm length, so it can vary from bike to bike for the same person.
