RE: the Roubaix SL4 Expert a couple pages back...
I really like the looks of the bike, the stem does take away some style points, but being older than you, to me it does add "nice rider" points to me. As for the seat post, I'll bet you can find some very light transparent smoke-gray film at a sign shop to cover white lettering on the seat post to give it the "gray on gray" look of the frame. Or color it with a gray felt tip pen or something.
Really a nice looking bike for the mature rider!
I appreciate the comments. Couldnt bring myself to go to the trouble to slam the stem just for a photo opp, knowing it would go right back the way it was. For a 52 year old who may not be at peak flexibility, and was looking for a really nice stiff, light bike which also had geometry for week long supported tours, the fredly arrangement works pretty well. Don't have any need to turn my Roubaix in to a Tarmac. If I start tinkering with the bars, maybe some S Works or Zipp Carbon bars, I'd probably also do a different stem, and drop it a little.
The seatpost is an S Works I picked up on eBay. May replace it with a Cobl Goblr if they ever are actually available, or a Fizik Cyrano would eliminate the white, and go well with the Antares 00 saddle. Frame is also Di2 capable, so who knows what may happen someday with that. Other than that, I'm finding it to be an incredible bike. My Seven is feeling a little neglected.
Oh, the crank slipped a little, and wasn't properly aligned with the chain stay. That's another 5 point deduction from the Eastern European judge, right?

Of course I'm mad. I wish I had those wheels on all my bikes. Lol. No doubt, this build is H.O.T.
I see nothing wrong with this build. Colnago, SR11, gumwalls.. H.O.T

They were :free" when I bought the frame
I wasn't going to argue when I paid $200 for everything shipped, was probably the cheapest part of the bike build

They may not be appropriate for this thread, but I've loved them so far. Heavier but really smooth. I pulled off half of the decal (the swooshy white part) so now it's just the red and black Zerolite by Vuelta portion, much sleeker

hi there, I just want some advice on what kind of bottle cages could look nice on this ride (maybe white?). I know the picture is all messed up by leaving the chain on the smaller ring and not having the right pedal at 3:00. I´m also considering on removing the upper spacer so it doesn´t look weird.
Thanks in advance,
Ronaldo
