Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm sure that your bar tape is half black half white, but it just looks like a very shoddy wrapping job with white tape (the black looks like it could be the handlebar showing through). I would have done the black side with white accents.

It is not half-half. Black is only 30%. I can't make it more black than white. I could get all white but it would take more time. I need to ride (people started to worry)

Nah you're good, but that seat bag has to go. Lovely Colnago.

You are in the right place but I would take off the bag, change to black tape, and would adapt myself to sexier saddle (white, if you like white tape)

I would really dig your bike if the bartape wrap was a little more evenly done... Personally I really like some of the candy cane dual color wraps and have it on one of my bikes... But it is a little tough to get just right. Really doesn't matter, but it would bother me every time I looked at it!

Here's an example of the one bike I have with the candy cane bartape. Not perfect, but very close to evenly wrapped:

The problem will be solved once I will get in mail white Fizik tape.
This tape was a take off, not from the box and i did not invest much trying to install it right. But everybody who does not like has a valid point.
Thank you for compliments BTW.

Need some new age CAAD in this thread.
Replaced my china carbon with this. 2012 frame, 2013 Force. Weighs in at 7.00kg on the dot. Trying to get it to 15 flat with a little tuning.

Mind my stack and valve position. Temporary.

Hi,

Race rig:

Run of the mill 2012 SuperSix EVO with "vintage" 2008 Record-10 components. Amazingly it weighed in at 13.95 lbs. Raced it last Sunday. It works.

How people do it?...

That yellow CAAD weights 17.8... It has ridicoulosly light wheelset (~ 2 kg both with tires, tubes, skewers, cassette and responsibilities on them), 200g seatpost, 110g stem, 230g handlebar.. Romin saddle... the question is 5700 group and CAAD5 frame weights 2.5 lbs more than CAAD10 and Force group??

I'm sure the frame is probably a pound lighter, and 2013 BB30 Force is sub 2kg. My wheelset is about the same give or take a 50g, and my seatpost is a tad lighter than that.

I'm in the process of tuning a Thomson Masterpiece, which should help me get closer to the 15 line.

It may be a run of the mill EVO frameset, but the way its put together is top of the mill in my book. Simply put, HOT.

Caad5 weights arount 1300 g as far as I know.
I do not think there is any frame, that meets all safety standards weights 850 gramms.

It can be 150g lighter, but not a pound... Well, full carbon fork may be 150g lighter than w/aluminum steerer...
I'm not whining but still a little jealous..
