Hey, the wheels are vintage Mavic Open 4 CDs laced to Dura Ace 7400 series hubs. The crank, chain, cassette, bottom bracket, front and rear derailleurs is also Dura Ace 7400 series and I scooped it all up including wheels for a song!! I couldn't say no.
Now now, I wouldn't do that. There was a nice natural light in that part and it was only for the picture.

39x28 in SF, the hills are very steep but short. Hicks Road on a hot summer day, Bohlman, Alba or Jamison Creek, that's a lot more difficult.

Saddle height is fine, I'm just stubborn and refuse to let go of my Cinelli 1A until I get one in 100mm. I do have a nice and polished Cinelli XA in 100mm and I'm afraid it will clash with the satin finish of the Cinelli 65 Criteriums. Even with a shorter stem, the reach may still be way out there - https://forums.roadbikereview.com/ret...os-273100.html.

Also, the bar/lever situation on that Pinarello terrible. You can't get a flat ramp with bars like that without scooting the hoods way up and rotating the bars back until everything looks ridiculous and the drops are unusable.

I love the modern Flites. The one on the Marinoni is Team Edition without cutouts or gel and its still great. The Flite is great for people with narrow sit bones. I have this saddle on my winter bike and Kona JTS. I tried the Turbomatic 2, Concor Supercorsa and even a Brooks Swift before figuring out that my sit bones dislike wide saddles unless I'm in a more upright position.

me too. Hey I run a 34x32 lowest gear now and ran a 39x25 last year. I can do both, but guess which one I go up long climbs faster with?

Just because you have a Roubaix...don't mean you have to set it up touring style...
Tom Boonen won Paris Roubaix...on a Roubaix.

aesthetically it looks much better! But how does it feel when you ride? those hoods looks like they would be hard to reach. Maybe it because I'm not used to a classic bar.

I'll let you know. I need to spend some time on the rollers with the bike and make my assessment then. This is my first road bike - my others are a Kona JTS and All City Nature Boy so I'll need time to get used to the geometry of the Marinoni.

You must be very long-armed. Long top tube, very long stem, classic reach/drop bars.

So much better.
I'm a wee bit sad to see that my own bike dropped off the bottom of page 495 without a single comment, but ah well.
