Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Why a compact crank/chain rings on a Tri or time trial bike? not.

correct on all counts. the mismatched wheels are an easy choice. The box section front that matches the rear has bad bearings; the aero rear that matches the front is an eight speed freewheel. I'm well aware that this bike isn't hot. I was just stirring the pot. It might become hot if I can become OCP enough to care. Until then I'll just ride it as is.

Hey, my bike retailed for almost $2000 and I made a lot of personal customizations, including new wheels. That has to make it hot, right?

That Kona's getting me kinda hot. Would be hotter with black chainring and a fork with no red on it, I think.

Yellow accents on the fork would probably have worked better, though the red picks up the bit of red from the saddle. I probably need gold hubs.

Cross/Gravel bike pics must be posted in hard-used, dirt-encrusted poses to gauge hotness.

What wheels are those?
