Hot r Not
Throw the stick!!!!
It's a custom seat post. Check out a stock '07 Tarmac and you'll see that the original is even more hideous. Specialized designed an aero seat tube but failed to integrate an aero seat post. I don't know what to say about the bars, they are aero compact carbon FSA. The red really sold me on the bike to begin with. I went to my lbs to browse new bikes and it reminded me a lot of when I was a kid in the grocery store and looked at the generic food that had black and white labels. All new bikes are just that. Black and white. Bland. When I ride, I have an extreme sense of euphoria and I think a bike should reflect that in colors. Personally, I just don't see how someone could ride an all black bike, it just seems to negate everything that bike riding is all about.

At no point was I, nor am I "mad" about anything. My picture posted was in reality a response to another..the rest was me agreeing with the comment made...all until the troll in reference to dropping a ton of money in "Canadian dollars-bucks"..It certainly wasn't a "ton" of money and the US / CDN dollar have been mostly on par for the last ten years. I own houses in both the US and Canada, I know exactly where either dollar stands.

Maybe it's the angle, but those cables look a little on the short side.

Added this Ritchey Breakaway (travel bike) to the stable, scrapped together mostly from winter bike parts and a few things lying around. I just had to buy the frame/fork/headset, a seatpost, a front derailleur, and a bottom bracket. What say ye Hot or Not?:

I agree with this. I like the subtleness of it.

Here it is, back from the painter. A Giro/Baum inspired paint job, painted by Jack Kane of kanebikes.com.
A couple minor things to finish up... wire wrap the excess wires up front, chainstay protector. It was so easy to install and dial in the EPS system; it took more time dialing in the ZG brakes. I'll be taking it out for its first EPS ride tomorrow, and will take a much better pic out on the road.

Very nice, guys! This page is off to a smashing start - not the time to sneak in a commuter.
