Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That's hot no matter how you stage it. You probably have enough room to break more of the rules too.

That is hotness. Is that black / gold to a tribute to the Black Lightning they did in the late 80's? That was one of the first bikes I ever coveted.

That's the way it should be, but the nitpickers need something to pick.

The crankset is the only thing that sticks out here and even then, its not off by a large margin. How exactly is his stem positioned improperly?

Oh I see. Since the stickers are so dark in the photo, I didn't even see that the wheels had stickers on them. I usually only pay attention to the valve stems when the wheels has white noticeable stickers where you can the wheels haven't been staged. Good eye though

I think they're talking about the ghosting effect from the stickers that used to be there.

And it's typical to put the valves at 6pm.

Being nitpicky is what HrN is all about.

Just goes to show you that a truly HOT bike need not worry about staging nonsense. When people nitpick about staging it probably means the bike is only marginally hot or maybe lukewarm.

I snagged that pic off Craigslist. Is that an abomination or what?!

Throw in the mixed UW/UO colors and it's beyond abomination. It needs to take a trip to Mordor, to be cast into the fires of Mount Doom, from whence it came, and undone like the great evil that it is.

I had to lengthen the tail a bit to put on a rfid timing chip. The timing chips don't work well when taped to the carbon shell. I think it turned out pretty well for using chlorplast to lengthen it a bit.

hot or not

Remove the kickstand, put it in front of your garage door instead of in it, need to show the drive side, to make it hot...

One too many wheels, a bit wide, not in front of a white garage door, execution of the tail extension could be more seamless.

Not, unless you send me strawberries:-)

On a more serious note, what is this used for, exactly? And does the aerodynamic shape overcome the added weight? And what IS it, exactly?
