I snagged that pic off Craigslist. Is that an abomination or what?!

Throw in the mixed UW/UO colors and it's beyond abomination. It needs to take a trip to Mordor, to be cast into the fires of Mount Doom, from whence it came, and undone like the great evil that it is.

Hahahaha exactly my thoughts

lowracer1 09-10-13 08:22 PM

I had to lengthen the tail a bit to put on a rfid timing chip. The timing chips don't work well when taped to the carbon shell. I think it turned out pretty well for using chlorplast to lengthen it a bit.

hot or not

Remove the kickstand, put it in front of your garage door instead of in it, need to show the drive side, to make it hot...

I'll let the valve stems slide if you send some strawberries my way.

One too many wheels, a bit wide, not in front of a white garage door, execution of the tail extension could be more seamless.

Not, unless you send me strawberries:-)

On a more serious note, what is this used for, exactly? And does the aerodynamic shape overcome the added weight? And what IS it, exactly? :o

It's a human powered vehicle. They are typically used on velodromes and flat roads for speed attempts. Without climbing, weight doesn't manner nearly as much as aerodynamics. Carrying and extra 20lbs at speed doesn't take near as much effort as wind resistance at 70+mph.

My Ciocc. Apologize for the crappy pic.

Hoping there's trek love. Both my litespeed and my tcr are gone. Replaced with these.

I like the Domane. And love very thing about the Ciocc except the bottle cages.

sosojeffcc 09-12-13 07:36 AM

I love that Propel!

VA_Esquire 09-12-13 08:06 AM

The propel is hot (except the pedals, wtf) but the trek is a no go.

Daughters picked pink for my pedals.

cvall91 09-12-13 08:14 AM

A better picture of the Propel would be great but still hot. And Trek is a not regardless of staging.

Trek-not. I dont like the black seat post/white bar (looks like a 1 piece provibe from the pictures?) I just don't like trek frame geometry.

Propel is hot even with pink pedals. Nothing wrong with pink. especially in cycling.

PatrickGSR94 09-12-13 08:19 AM

The way that Trek is staged with the angle of the pic, plus whatever is on the stem, really makes it look like there is a tall pole attached to the stem haha

it's a rubber band that holds the junction box, but the angle happened to have a pole in teh background which was in the right place haha.

The stem is a Pro Stealth Evo.

Yes the frame geometry of the Domane is relaxed, very relaxed. It is meant as my 3+ hr bike.

Both are hot, but the trek would really do better with a white seat post.

WhyFi 09-12-13 09:17 AM

Propel is hot. Domane just looks too... compact, I guess, with the tall HT and the sloping TT.
