Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sounds...well, er,...cool:-) I'm thinking yellow pin striped tires when those wear out. https://www.probikekit.com/bicycle-ty.../10780174.html

The brown leather thing is way too olde for me, and I'm 57. You'd have to grow a handlebar mustache.

I like the leather idea but I think it would be a pretentious on a bike this age group.

link, your merlin is hot. but it does need ec90 stem and black pedals if you want to go showboating it around. it's only barely hot as it sits.

technically it's "freerange" so flame/martyr/scold/scorn/scoff/shun me if you must. but it does have 23c evo corsa cx on it, and i do ride it on the road...

I'm not sure what that even means.

I did have a chance to look at your bike again though. I hate it with the fire of a thousand suns.

No.
Discs make it inelegant, picture is not good, but what is killing it for me are those tires.

Safety warning sticker on the fork needs to go. Looks like it may have took a spill on the drive side by the mark on the tip of the bars. Non-staged wheels. Otherwise, for an Allez, ok.
Cheers

https://prollyisnotprobably.com/2013/...irt-tourer/#18 See comments here. The idea is to keep the hands away from a heated disk brake rotor when removing the front wheel. Because apparently it can be hot with the fire of a thousand suns.

having an odd semi-circular scar on my right hand from just that after flatting on a longer downhill towing my kids on my hybrid, I can tell you that I put my skewers this way now on the front
