What's confusing you put probably the most hideous looking Shimano groups (that's saying a lot because Shimano hasn't produced an attractive group in many years) on a perfectly wonderful Parlee.
...true story is I had a great looking nicely lightweight crankset with Praxis rings and Cannondale Hollowgram crankarms...unfortunately some gears were unusable...so I went for effectiveness in this iteration...but I'll remember to switch everything to Campy in the future |
That Parlee is perfect good job.

Only to the great unwashed ;)
I wasn't fond of campy because I broke stuff on it a couple of times and I couldn't find parts locally. Ended up being down for a few days while I waited for parts to come in. It's also much more expensive here, so I stick with Shimano and Sram now. I'd like to try Microshift too just for kicks. Aesthetically they all have good points and bad points for me. Shimano cranks have gotten fugly. Record cranks have always been gorgeous. Not crazy about the shifters of either. Sram is probably the best looking to me across the group. |
