Hot. Would love to see a picture of it slammed though.

I'm trying to be nice here. I'm far harder on folks in the commuting section I have higher expectations of them. Here it's just go faster backwards Felts and 10+ K Parlee's with electric Shimano because shifting with cables is way to hard.

I suggest you post your current bike for good time sake... ;)

No bikes really to post at the moment. I have the black steel bike I posted a long time ago in this thread and an old mountain bike. I use both for commuting. Nothing really worth presenting here though unfortunately. Starting to get the urge for a new build though. :D

Not gonna happen...my Retul fit says I've maxed out my drop for highest efficiency.

What's confusing you put probably the most hideous looking Shimano groups (that's saying a lot because Shimano hasn't produced an attractive group in many years) on a perfectly wonderful Parlee.

and here I thought it was just grammar...

...true story is I had a great looking nicely lightweight crankset with Praxis rings and Cannondale Hollowgram crankarms...unfortunately some gears were unusable...so I went for effectiveness in this iteration...but I'll remember to switch everything to Campy in the future

That Parlee is perfect good job.

I always like the original matte black finish but I actually like this new paint job much better. HOT.

That kestrel is hurting for a tapered fork.

No it won't Campy is a pain in the donkey... :D

Dan333SP 12-18-13 09:33 AM

Nice to see microshift. For what it's worth, I had a pair of those wheels a few years ago, the hubs are pretty shoddy and they are very heavy. If you want to stick with vuelta, the corsa lites are far better and only around $200, they also look much nicer if that matters.

Hey I bathe once a month whether I need it or not. ;)

I wasn't fond of campy because I broke stuff on it a couple of times and I couldn't find parts locally. Ended up being down for a few days while I waited for parts to come in. It's also much more expensive here, so I stick with Shimano and Sram now. I'd like to try Microshift too just for kicks.

Aesthetically they all have good points and bad points for me. Shimano cranks have gotten fugly. Record cranks have always been gorgeous. Not crazy about the shifters of either. Sram is probably the best looking to me across the group.
