Wouldn't need to be that fast for that photo (or fast but not full frame). Looking at the compression it's on a telephoto lens where you can get that sort of depth of field on a whole range of cameras.

Agreed, though looking through his other photos of the bike makes me hope that he'll post some of the detail shots - it's a cool paint job: nice striping and paint flecks.

No, but from a combination of the framing/compression it's easy to tell what 35mm equiv. angle of view the photo is.
