Are those Zipp 404s with the decals removed?

They look more like 303's, with that green tinge that the 303's have.

Didn't think it looked like overly fast glass, and the telephoto compression was very clear.

Strictly speaking, lens selection has nothing to do with "compression" - it's simply a matter of perspective, where the camera is in relation to the subject.

Nice photo/bike either way.

Agreed, though looking through his other photos of the bike makes me hope that he'll post some of the detail shots - it's a cool paint job: nice striping and paint flecks.

No, but from a combination of the framing/compression it's easy to tell what 35mm equiv. angle of view the photo is.

Not really, but that's probably better to leave the camera geek speak to other threads/forums.

Maybe you just need more practise at it :P

+1, yeah, that's nice with the green sparkle...

LAJ 03-25-14 08:41 PM

Awesome.

WhyFi 03-25-14 09:01 PM

Ah, that shows it off much mo' better.

gc3 03-25-14 09:16 PM

I'm definitely a fan of the special edition paint job, but I'd be so pissed the first time it got dinged....

No fair looking at the exif stuff!

For sure I cannot achieve that kind of bokeh blur using my handy dandy 5 year old consumer super zoom....

I have a browser extension that displays EXIF info by simply hovering over the photo. I used to use if for work, but not so much, now. I will say, though, that I'm often flabbergasted that people leave their GPS data embedded in their photos - there are dozens of bikes on BF with maps to the garage door. Phones are the biggest culprits.

That's much newer than my poor 5D.

kcollier5 03-26-14 07:04 AM

Wow. Tha's a beautiful bike. Photos are nice as well! (Is that your driveway?)

WhyFi, I'll have to remember to that. Take my photos while on the road… although I don't think my bike is hot enough to steal. Harold, though… jk, but smoking hot Venge.

Tbh I would have thought a thief would be much more likely to go after the camera itself rather than the bike (although I guess maybe not in the case of something like the 5D). My camera gear is probably worth 3x what my bike is and it's a lot easier to jump in a car with.

Meh, we live in the digital age, if someone knows how to use google, they can probably figure out your address. With a little searching of my screen name, you can easily find my full name, where I work, and where I live. If someone really wants to stalk me and steal whatever it is, that's cool, I have insurance. I don't mind getting free new stuff.

(Heh, just googled my user id, there are SpeshulEd imposters!)

Without a doubt, one of the HOTTEST bikes I've seen to date. :thumb: on that limited edition paint job.

Noted. Although I'm not too worried since guest(s) have to present themselves to the doorman first and since we're past the 20th floor, a special key is needed to get further up the building.

DAYUM that is so awesome! Bet y'all put down some major power eh? Although, the seat tube angle looks a bit slack for a TT position over aerobars, no? And does the stoker's face end up in the captain's butt when you're putting the hamer down?
