If you already have the photo on an online host, you can use image tags around the URL of the photo and it'll display full-size in the thread: [ IMG ]photoURL[ /IMG ] (no spacing within the brackets, though)

Fuji isn't bad but not hot in my opinion. The color of the logos on the wheels don't appear to match the bike. Don't care for the shape of the bars and not a fan of the aesthetics of that saddle. Bike has a lot of potential to be smokin though.

You can't argue opinion in regards to how things LOOK. But I am pretty sure it is the angle of the photo. Those shifters look spot on - along with the handlebar setup. (At least in regards to technical guides)

It's not the handlebar position I don't like it's the actual bars. I don't like them...

BillyD, can I give you a tiny word of advice? Quit treating us like we are 12 year olds. We understand that these are all opinions. If you have to moderate, doing it a bit quieter might also help your image around here. Your moderating is a bit heavy handed. Just lighten up a little, we're all friends here, right?

In my opinion, someone investing enough time to photograph and post their bike, should, at the very least, perform the little things that cost absolutely nothing to make their bike attractive. Rather than expecting us to look beyond these short comings in judging the hotness of their bike.
This doesn't represent dogma or velominati rules. It represents the adherence to good aesthetics. You see most the bike adds using similar approaches. Not because the velominati say so, but, because it helps make a bike look good.

-placed on level ground
-neutral non-distracting background
-valve stems at 6 o'clock - well pretty close anyways ;-)
-no bags, cue sheets or other paraphernalia mounted
-cages bidon free
-chain on the big dog and a smallish cog such that the rear derailleur cage points down attractively
-cranks not at 180 or 90 degrees
These simple things show your appreciation and respect for your steed and let us admire it without distractions.

Ha ha! I decided to let the leaf slide since the poster had done a pretty good presentation job all around. I guess I missed the turtle, did someone have one in their hot r not post? Ok to be completely OCD I would have removed the leaf and placed the bike evenly centered between the two fence posts (or whatever they are) in the background.

Yes I know it's not technically a Road Bike but I saw the one above and figured close enough. This is what I did with the group I took of my Giant Defy from earlier...

That's a crazy high rise seat, are you sure you got the right frame size, how tall are you? Is that some kind of extender on it? What do you use this steed for if you don't mind my asking: cyclocross? commuting? rain bike?

Nice cave, I'd like a visit. The powder blue Centurion is my favorite. I like to stumble across a vintage high end Centurion for a deal at the bike yard and make a sunny day retro racer out of it. Keep the DT shifters and I've got some old 600EX gum hooded levers.

Im 5'11" frame is a m/l which is a 56cm I believe same as my other bike, seat is higher than on my road bike but I was professionally fitted to both. Seat in relation to bottom bracket is about the same. It's just the seat mast clamp that comes on these bikes which have an integrated seat post. I use it for trail/path riding but it is a cyclocross frame just with a compact chain ring.
