Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Temporary pedals. I tried clipless with off roading but it was kind of sketchy for me since I was new to off road/ cyclocrossing. Actually selling the bike to save up for a better road bike again. Somehow I prefer the skinny tires on the road

I've posted this a couple of other places, people seem to like it.

In order to get clearance for the 35mm wide Kendas I have to completely remove the micro adjusters so the the rear axle can be slammed all the way back in the rear dropout.

CG-R seatpost is basically an automatic not, its just ugly. Roubaix frames are tricky, the Zertz break-up the clean lines. Stem and handlebar position were going to be a tough sell in HrN.

Otherwise a clean bike, certainly not ugly, just doesn't get to the lust worthy threshold of hot.

Wasn't a tough sell from my fitter. Oh well, I'm stuck with this body. I like riding it, I guess that's all that matters.

the stem is really tall.... Which is a typical position for Clydesdale that lack flexibility (or support enough gut) that that they can't pivot forward at the hips.

If if your seat is improperly set too far back, then the reach to the handlrbars would be so challenging that the raised position is justified (sort of). But if your seat was moved forward and as you become more flexible, adjusting the saddle and lowering the bars will both adjust the positioning to a more "traditionally hot" stance.

I've always been in the weird predicament that a 25mm setback is almost too far and 0mm is too short. This is still within the saddle's markings on the clamps so it's all good. thanks for the comments guys.

Ill play.... This bike has been through lots of changes. I think it looks a little "busy" right now but I do not really want to de-sticker the wheels and possibly devalue them when I go to resell. Your guys thoughts? Anything I need to change?

I think there should be a new rule that you aren't even allowed to post if you own a cock gobbler seat post. It doesn't have to be on your bike, yet simply owning one makes you ineligible.

You can buy replacement stickers from Zipp. You could go black or red.

Don't judge it till ya ride it. I HATED the way they looked initially but it has grown on me and the ride quality improvement is substantial. If that post is the worst part of my bike then I am a-ok with that

You posted your bike in the hot or not thread and you keep defending it when someone says not. What?

And I don't care how comfortable the seat post is, it's ugly. That's like saying you like banging fat chicks because they're soft and cushy.

No... I agree. The post is not very eye pleasing but I am willing to live with it so all I was saying is that that is one part I probably would not be willing to change out for aesthetics. I am not defending the looks of the post at all.
