Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It looks like you messed up the handlebar/shifter install. The shifters look mounted too low and then you over-rotated the bars up to compensate

I'd take a well done color paint job over flat black any day. Unfortunately, very few manufacturers know how to do color paint schemes well. Most positively suck. I think that that was one of the big factors in the rise of popularity of matte black bikes - matte black is harder to **** up.

I recently purchased a Trek Project One bike and picked the satin black over the 10 offered paint jobs.

Sorry, I just liked it better.

You're right.

If you're not happy with what commercially available, you could have the frame custom painted. Then it will be all about what you want. And it doesn't matter if it's Hot r Not.

Squatting dog

The "hump" on the Venge is what makes it look kinda odd in the larger sizes. If its a 54 or 52...it looks pretty good...IMO.

Here is Saxo's team bike. Looks a bit better in the small sizes...and not flat black.

It's kinda like the look bikes, but not as extreme. Those things are pretty ugly

I'll bet that has surprised a few folks.
I have a 67 with a 1915. My son daily driver is 63 w/2100 that runs low 13s in the high 90s.
