Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Very striking. Although the saddle and seat post seem incongruously blobby and the bottle cage shapes are over-complicated, overall I'd give it a solid Hot.

I was working with the assumption that the saddle was positioned correctly for his fit, and the post was not.

Posted a pic of my bike a year ago but it just looked so good after a wash tonight. Love the pink! Excuse the fact that it is on the small chainring and the position of the the crank arm...we all make mistakes...

I think you need to wash your camera lens too.

aesthetically its a bit off putting, but its still got plenty of clamp area so I am not in a hurry to replace it. Much more important things i want to put money aside for like a road wheelset.

Are you kidding? It's the best looking thing about your bike, and pretty sweet if you ask me. Instead of a plate balancing on a bent stick like the other Focus above, you have something more unified, harmonious and purposeful looking - a nice, strong arching line all the way from the bottom of the seatpost to the back of the saddle, with the rails simply bracing the cantilevered front.

Do you have dead-flat cyclocross courses in your area? Bizarre.

I have hesitated posting here but decided what the heck. I ride on the road, so technically I guess it is a road bike. Yes, it looks like a messenger bike, that is alright with me. Most people here are riding full suspension Wal-Mart BSO's with slammed seat posts. Love being different. I don't have a white garage to post in front of, so the hallway of my apartment building will have to do.

Not gonna lie, it projects raw speed to me. I like it. In a "nextdoor neighbour hot" kind of way

The "other Focus above" is a very different bike: hailandkill's gray Cayo Evo.
