Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

FYI it's easier to copy and paste my comments since that's what every bike maker seems to be doing with these lifeless bikes.

Putting such a horrible looking bike in such a new view totally ruins that picture.

I think that they're one of the least hot things, personally. Not everybody likes everything to be super loud; there's a lot to be said for quality that doesn't yell at you—for something that's really nice but isn't super obvious to people who aren't paying attention.

Maybe this is more to your liking:

Don't take it personally. Mine got roasted here also, but it's what we signed up for, right?

We aren't judging bike fits, the way it rides, or hot "deals" I'm just ragging on the looks is all. Heck if I found a good deal I'd buy it also. My bike isn't hot one bit either, but at least it's not ugly

I completely understand it isn't the most flashy, or hot looking bike. I guess the thing that struck me wrong was the comments about buying into a "fad" about blacks and greys. I could have gone with many other more brightly colored bikes, yes, and was looking at them until this one fell into my lap. I don't mind the comments on the bike at all. it is black, flat black at that, and white. can't get much more boring than that, but to assume that I am buying into some kind the fad of dull colors, couldn't be further from the truth, so I was just explaining why I went with the bike I have over one that might be deemed HOT..hehe

I know my bike isn't ugly, she is subdued in her beauty...hehe.

Way too fat for my taste.... Looks like a balloon. Gotta make everything big enough to where you can read the logos from across the street.

So if a bike is all black, it automatically means its not appealing in your eyes? I'm just asking. You've never seen an all black bike that you liked?
