Sorry bianchi10, but the blue bottles and gum walls don't do it for me. I know you can do better than that. Luke warm ;)

Yeah I can get that. The blue bottles matched my kit so it worked fine with me ok the bike. I guess I should have used the black and white bottles this day lol

Gonna give it another try. I feel like setup and display was not proper before.

I like it! There's something about it that's messing with my mind, the geometry maybe? I can't put my finger on it.

Torn on whether to replace the cages with Arundel Mandibles or not.

k_kibbler 06-04-16 03:24 AM

That is hawt. And the quality photography is half the battle. Great looking bike.

+1 replace the cages with Mandibles, and if you're feeling cheeky, match white Mandibles to saddle, tape, and branding.

Agreed about the photography and white cages, but you may do just as well or better with a more angular design than the Mandibles.
What bothers me about this bike is how the seat post and big ring look so delicate, and the stem and bars look sort of chunky.
It definitely has a nice character.

White cages, black tires. Then it is hot. Warm right now.

This is beautiful. Only thing I don't like is the hammer holding it up. That bike needs a proper stand for photographing.

Should be ridden with white shoes only.

With the gearing on that BMC, you must live in a very hilly or mountainous area.

Dirty.........I like it!

Let's see if I can get some love here now that there's no visible dirt on my bike and I don't have the bottle cages of a dirty worthless peasant.

Funny; the colors and graphics are kind of funky, but I like them - especially the big round stickers on the forks, but I hate the way the forks are so massive compared to what looks to be a frame otherwise made entirely of seat stay tubing. The bars, stem, computer & brifters assembly looks kinda massive too on that frame. Those proportions may be inelegant, but they're almost appealingly goofy.

Thanks for your analysis haha :) I just put some thick new tape on the bars, think I'll stay with the fizik superlight stuff in the future. I put the round sticker on there, it's from the best bike cartoon ever, Yowamushi Pedal. I always kinda liked the look of an oversized front end on steel bikes though, like with the Raleigh Grand Vitesse.

Well updates call for a new photo I guess. Not the clearest photo but here it goes :) Put Enve 3.4 SES clincher set and went on a 90 mile 9500 feet climb. They feel amazing!

It's a hot for me. Some of looks so out of place, but for some odd reason it all works.
