Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I go with them most days at 6:45 leaving from town center but I've been real busy at work lately so not as often as I'd like to go. Tuesday and Thursday rides are very fast... Wednesday and Friday are more "controlled" and Monday there's only a few that go. See you there!

It does take away from the look of the bike... I agree... but I don't use it for what it looks like. It's the most comfortable saddle I have found post double hernia surgery a couple years back. GOtta' take proper care of "the boys", you know.

New wheels, brakes, and stem since my last submisson. In addition to miche 12-21 8s (used to be 9s) cassette and chain. Brakes are campy record to match my 8s record setup. Wheels are zondas, G4 in front and G3 in rear.
New stuff brings the running total invested to about $500.

I'm not a fan of the Ridley. Awesome bike, but I don't really like how it looks because its such a big bike.

I just finished building this yesterday. My idea of a "comfort bike". Also my first build. I have done a quite a few rebuilds but never bought all new frame and components.

Yeah, the steel fork adds a pound but look how pretty it is.

Ditto. I am sure it is a wonderful machine but this is a thread about looks and to my old eye's that is a decidedly unattractive bike. I just don't like the Mad Max look of many of these carbon wonders. I was watching the Tour of California recently and I didn't see anything like this on the road. Perhaps in the TT's. You might buy one for the straight line speed or more likely the gee whiz factor but surely not for the looks.

You're a jerk.

Don't mean to come off so mean, but come on. That's just rude.

The color of the frame is the one thing I don't really like about the bike. It's the nicest riding frame I've ever ridden though... But overall the whole thing is a bit ridiculous
