Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

^^ thanks! I know the aesthetic won't be for everyone, but I tried to give it a splashy look and it's a great performing machine.

Veloflex masters, by far the nicest clincher tire I've tried!

That blue Franco... about as hot as a bike can get. I have always really liked the Balcom Road S. Very nicely done.

The Giant looks good to me ... even with gumwalls. The stance is a large par tof it ... stick the bars up where i could ride comfortable and the effect would be ruined. The saddle and bar tape are nice touches.

The Franco is just porn ... but not raunchy cheesy porn ... rather very tasteful softcore with an absolutely beautiful model who has a brain and some character.

Love the bike, Ti and group, Campy. Don't really care for the stem and bar set up but if it fits you, great!

S on that Moots .... how long did it take you to find a 180 mm, -7 degree stem? (I know ... you didn't. You found a 180 mm +7 degree stem and flipped it. )

I'm guessing it's a 130 -17 3T ARX (that actually measures out to 140 because of the way 3T measure and label their stems). Am I close?

I have made some upgrades to my commuter to improve visibility and safety. These include:
* Supacaz purple/pink/orange bar Super Sticky Kush bar tape
* Tacx Deva Orage / Pink Bottle Cages
* Pink / Purple / Orange cable ends
* Green flashing valve stem lights
* Orange safety flag

Now it has become the ultimate commuter. 1100 lumen light, rear blinking light, garmin 520, Quarq Riken Powermeter (measure my efficiency on my commute), Mavic Aksium wheels with 28c tires for better grip and rolling resistance and new arrange of stuff for improved visibility and cool factor. Total package weighs in at 20 pounds.

Yup, ridden 45 miles with it since i got it yesterday and no issues. It stays in place and cars give wider birth when going past.

Wide berth or birth? Man, I hope for your sake it's the former...

Nice bar tape! Way too nice of a bike for a commuter, IMO. I like having a commuter that I can be a little rough on and not have to worry about.
