Why is the end of the handlebar bright, and what's that on downtube? Looks too small to be a bottle, but it has some sort of tube or cord coming out of it. Some interesting ideas there... bright nipples on dark spokes and rims, red pedals and gold housings with army green frame, strange colored saddle....

I like the set up. Aggressive and clean. I'll still give it a hot, but for a very rare occasion I feel all black tires would look better here. In my personal opinion, the white and the yellow clash a bit for aesthetics purposes. I dont usually care for black saddle and white bartape or visa versa either, so that is a distraction for me. But overall, nice bike for sure!

Have you seen his wheel thread? Dude has more money in spare tires than most people have in their bikes. Not to mention the like 20 pairs of carbon wheels he has.

Thanks! Yours is pretty smokin' as well. Love the purple & zebra w/ eTap. So hot.
You know I considered that, but I think it might have made it a tad too busy for my tastes.
Thanks for the resounding endorsement!
I get what you're saying about the saddle, but it's probably the best saddle I've ever owned in terms of comfort.
Tanwalls seem to be an either/or issue for a lot of people. Coke/Pepsi, Democrat/Republican, Mac/PC... Personally I like the aesthetics of both, regardless of the bike they're hung on. Although, on deep aero wheels, I tend to prefer the tanwalls to break up all the blackness.
As for white tape/black saddle, I always prefer white tape - but I dislike white saddles. They show wear more rapidly and nothing makes a bike look more haggard than a well-worn, off-white-colored saddle.
With this frameset, I think the white tape helps to accentuate the checkered fork, while the saddle blends in with the predominantly black back end of the bike.
And thanks for the "hots"!

I really like this bike and considering it's basic style I find unappealing it a hell of a compliment. I normally don't care for frames with seat stays lower than the top tube and areo seatpost/seat tubes but the ones I do like I always really really like, your bike fall into the really really like category. The only thing that I would say takes away from the overall appeal of the bike is the seat look unproportionally short for the aero seat post.

Well I finally got the race bike built up so here is my current summer garage.
Bike for best: Scott Foil RC 2017 (left) & Race bike: Scott Foil Premium 2016 with Dura Ace 7900 & Rotor 3D Power2Max (right).
Both ride dreamily but the new DA is a different league.

I am not an either./or---sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Here they don;'t quite seem to match anything else. if the wheels were blacker, like the tires, then the gumwalls would look great.
Hot anyway.

I'm guessing you know but...
Roswell Bicycles did an amazing job custom fitting the non-SCS wheels to an original SCS frame. Without all the details there was switching of hangers, trying several end caps, and finally some machining. So for those wondering, it can be done. I really appreciate the level of effort and attention they put into this build (and all the others)!
