Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

LOL...Well, since it's getting to the point that there is more darkness than light, rain 80% of the time until June... and that it's only been four months since I was run over by a 14,000 # GW truck...I'll have to be a tad freddy.

the tape in the pic is deda tape, it's a very deep rich orange color, however bontrager makes an orange tape that's like their tires, very very bright. after a while it all turns grey anyway.

thus far, bontrager has had the most interesting tape colors i've found, some of my favorites are a very subtle apple green color. watered down if you will. and a very light blue.

below is a pic of the bontrager tape i had before many upgrades including wheels, and the pic below it is the same bontrager green tape I mentioned on a bike I had built up earlier this year before i sold the group.

The day I took that picture I rode it almost 50 miles, including a Critical Mass ride. How about a slightly more serious attempt. This is currently my fastest bike, a 1987 Schwinn Prelude

Schwinn prelude looks good. Not flashy but clean and simple.
I got bored and it was a nice photo op. Plan to look for a black 105 crank and then start swapping my other components for black ones (Not sure on model yet but nothing less than 105)
