It's bad, really bad.

Well, that's discouraging. I thought it was the bees knee's!

It's your bike (I assume) if you like it, that's all that matters.

ClickClickBoom 07-31-17 09:54 PM

That was sarcasm. I love the thing.

Lol dont let it discourage you. One persons poo-poo platter is another mans gold. This thread is all about OPINIONS. I would say your bike may not get the attention you may be looking for because it is pretty loud with a lot of branding and such. Artistically speaking, its kind of hard for the eye to take in as a whole because you get lost in looking here and here and here then there. The angle in which you have taken the photo doesn't seem to help in my opinion. Probably doesn't do the bike justice. Always hard to hear someone not like something you yourself find to be very appealing. Brush yo shoulda off and move on.

Dont get to caught up in this thread or forum for that matter.

Love it with the shallow rims and skins.

Like to stretch out your chain/derailleur unnecessarily?? Avoid that big-big chainring/sprocket combo..

White tape/saddle combo is nice, but at least clean it before you take a pic.

Checkered fork is out of place.. polka dots would have been nicer... or you can just match the bar tape with checkered pattern.

Line up that drive side crankarm along the seattube or chainstay.. out of alignment crankarm doesn't make good pic.

How does one stretch a derailleur? I am unclear on this concept.

Chains don't actually stretch.

I Like the no logo on the wheels and black cages so much more than clicks version with the busy wheels and such. I know you've already said why you won't throw on the white saddle, but IMO a white saddle woukd balance it out and make it perfect. Either way, it looks great

I guess you have no idea what this tool is for:

Chains don't stretch... they wear. They get longer due to the pivots wear and tolerances increase. When you multiply that by 104 links, it adds up and the chain gets longer.

I guess you don't understand the difference between chain wear, and chain stretch.

Post some links that explain stretching a derailleur. If you can't explain it then I can't worry about it.

As to chain stretch / wear... if cross chaining causes my chain to wear a little faster, in the grand scheme of things, replacing a $30 chain in 5 months instead of 7 doesn't really make the least difference to me. At least I'm out riding and using the bike rather than just looking at or talking about the thing :thumb::thumb:

Cross chaining does cause cogs/chainrings/jockey wheels to wear more rapidly, but I don't worry about the wear rate of those parts either.

You call it wear, I call it stretch.. Whatever you call it, spaces between chain links expand..

So don't worry about it.

I call it wear, because that's what it is.

We are still waiting to hear about this "derailleur stretch" you mentioned.
