Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wouldn't be my first choice, but it doesn't look that bad. Love the frame though.

have you had that issue at all?

Given the intentional design and engineering that went into the Orca, the head area and fork are not afterthoughts. I own a 2009 Orca and it is really nice. I'll post some photos soon.

I know what you mean. I had the choice of going with either the Alpha Q or a Wound Up. I believe I made the right decision...

i was waiting for someone to flame me for that. when you look at the rest of the bike though and the great design that went into it you can't argue that the fork "looks" like an afterthought. I understand it's function not form but they went so into design looks and detail with the rest of the bike why not continue that with the fork area?

That Thomson X4 stem isn't exactly weight-weenie but a great stem overall, I have one on my MTB. I have an X2 on my Colnago. I agree, that matte black SL3 is Hot!

Yeah I know what you mean, I am a college student who is constantly getting thwarted by annoying homework while my bike is sitting there asking to be ridden!

If you like that matte black SL3, check out my previous ride (For Sale: https://classifieds.roadbikereview.co...ct/19810/cat/3)

The stem is super stiff, which is great because most of my riding is done climbing the Santa Cruz mountains.

That's a hot bike, clinchers are convenient but tubulars are the right way to ride!
