Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I do. I had a blue specialized rockhopper. And a blue 1982 Lotus. I like blue.

Thanks. Those are the training wheels, btw. I only put on the tubulars for races and the occasional Saturday.

Michelin Pro 3's. The white is somewhat controversial, but they were on sale when I was buying.

Hah, that's fine. I like them both a lot but the ridley is often more fun to ride.

Please disregard the non-matching pedals and bad lighting. I will get better pics soon with the new parts on it.

I've got a couple more changes in store for it but it does the job the way it is.

Thanks. I don't know if you could ride slow enough to ride with me but it would be nice to find out. However, depending on how my weight loss goes I may attempt to do a race or two next year. Shhhh, don't tell anyone though.

Oh, and if you folks out there are using the Garmin 705's as well, mind if I ask you how you mount the wheel magnets on Aero spokes?

^^^ just order one from Mavic.. doesn't need to be a garmin. They make a nice one for flat spokes. Many others do as well. on and yes it's hot

the headlight.. not so much.

I agree. My plan is to get the Rotor crankset, when it becomes a little more available. For now, only CC carries it and the local LBS' don't know much about them.

^^ I agree what's wrong with ultegra?

Here's my baby 2010 Felt AR4. Zipp 303 just went on sale 30% off so I've ordered a pair, but I'll be waiting until spring to use them.

That's nice.
I like the furniture and the ship in the background too.

I don't know how wide those spokes are. Mavic's may work, or if it's really wide, try one meant for Fulcrum/Campagnolo. The Fulcrum Racing Zero and Racing 1 spokes are nearly 1cm wide (I'm exaggerating a bit). The Fulcrum wheelsets normally come with magnets and you may have to find an orphaned magnet. I lucked out and a shop had one laying around to sell me. Mavic wouldn't have worked in my case.

it (gray) doesn't match the color scheme of red, white and black. no koolaid drinker here, campi, whatever. just a black crank would look better. that's what this superficial thread is about...
