Alright, I'm ready to be judged...I think it's borderline.
I know the uncut steerer isn't ideal, but I don't think it's too bad in this case.

The Drive Side is Within
I think the problem is that you're going for something like a hipster fixie look--- middle of the road old '80's bikes are much better off with practical but high quality bits from bikes of similar vintage rather than the cheapest chinese new stuff.
The main party foul is the cheap stamped metal matching black bits that you bought for the bike look like they could go on the cheapest wall mart bike.
Here are two of mine. Just a sora jamis w/some fun carbon bits on the day I got home with it, and my old $40 hi-ten panasonic. Posted here b/c I think that it's best not to get into the Hot-Or-Not rat race and better to just have things that do their job well without pretension.
Maybe I have the same taste in women-- look natural and great, but aren't making a big deal of trying to do so....

its a nice bike, but the set up makes it look very plain and ordinary. (not to say it looks bad) judging only off asthetics I have to say not hot, BUT nice. tons of potential to be a hot and sexy little diva!

yes it was a complete compliment. just to clarify what I meant: I usually do not care for the trek postal frame. but the way you have your's set up, it just works nicely.

Not but some of it is from things that could be overcome. The bottle cage under the seat needs to be removed. The wheels should at least match. The background is cluttered and distracting and makes it hard to make out the lines of the bike. That's why so many people use garage doors like this

Also the lighting is very soft - photographing on an over cast day or in even shade is best. (I know you guys don't like this bike - just an example of how to photograph a bike)

It's just stuff I had from another smaller frame. The previous frame was a 50cm and this is 52. So the stem is too long and I haven't positioned the height yet. I wanted to see if it would fit and ride comfortably at all. Nothing wrong with having the saddle above the bars. I'm just not in that aero position.

AH crap... Ok guys be gentle. I'm a novice with a low budget project (my first bike). Bought this in less than good aesthetic condition so the only things on the bike that are still original are the front and rear derailleurs, the frame (of coarse), and the brakes and bars (new tape). The parts that I bought were a small upgrade from the original parts and as times are hard, I can't buy a high end bike so I had a low budget on the upgrades. Did all of the work myself and made some adjustments with some help from members on this forum. I actually like the older bikes better so I am happy with this one. Well here it goes... "gritting teeth and cowering"

Now, the harsh news: no way that bike could ever be hot in its present state. It has suicide levers, a kick-stand, and the cables are routed in front of the bars.

Those are downtube shifters, I always though suicide levers referred to stem shifters.

My point was that bikes that are trying to look "hot" can look worse than bikes that are just being bikes, like the ones I posted.
I think the two I pictured look okay, and aren't worthy of derision. That Panasonic has purty lugs, a handbuilt rear wheel, and nice lines. I also like how my "fake titanium" steel Jamis looks quite a bit. And it probably cost less than the crankset on most of the bikes on this thread.
That Hi-Ten Panasonic can keep up on the local medium paced club ride, even the sprints. Yes, with me riding it...
I'm 6'4". I wear relatively normal 34" inseam pants, but 36/37" arm shirts. I guess I like a classic large frame fit. I raced 'cross Saturday on a 25.5" Trek (not that I did that great, though).
