Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

most times you need a silver crankset as well. at this point the minor issues bother me more.

Open Pros are trainers. I will order a set of low pro carbon when the money comes around.
Speedplay's on order.
Ti Selle SLR on order.
Hoods for brakes need to be raised. I feel like my shop put them in the wrong spot. I agree that the bars need to be rotated down.
Steerer will be cut once I am fitted.
My Ti cages from King are lost at the post office. Mail lady keeps on forgetting to bring them. Hopefully I'll have them tomorrow afternoon.

Once I've got this hot mess in order I'll post again... =) Thanks for all of the positive and negative feedback.

you are steamrolling in the correct direction except what is in bold. your levers are in the perfect position note the flat transition between the bar tops and brake hoods. they did a great job. rotate the bars down so that they are level (or near level) and it will look great. it may feel odd but i bet after a few rides you will like it.

The lower part of the drops need to be parallel to the ground correct?

i typically set them so the bottom goes ever so slightly downhill. your hoods will likely be darn close to level at this point.

Pretty close to it anyways. Not all bars are the same but but yours are almost at the same angle as your downtube.

I rotated it forward a bit. I feel like the hoods are too far forward. They have a bit of a forward slope to them. Once I go in to get fitted I'll bring it to the attention of my buddy at the shop. See what he says...

They are SPD-SL's, maybe a couple of years old at most.

i am aware of their age. i was just inferring that they would look at home on a "classic" build.

See, much better. Before you couldn't tell what size the frame was or looked like. I color adjusted a little bit and cropped out the nonsense.
