Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wow, for an extra $1, you could have bought a yellow C'dale! I like the wheels, not crazy about the tires. I agree with bianchi10, colored tires can look really cheap. You have to be really careful.

Your new Fuji looks great! Please don't put red tires on it. The black looks great. Red bar tape? Maybe. But not red tape, seat and tires! That's just too much, imo. Also a black and red saddle would look better than the white. Correct me if I'm wrong but there's no white on that bike, right? (or silver and red) Fizik makes a black one with the red stripe down the middle...

yes, I know. Yellow tires on C'dale is a little off. But I needed to change the tires and choose wrong color - did not expect it will be bright yellow, thinking ore of dark yellow. I can always swap them with my wifes bike - she does not care about this stuff.

yes. I will hold on red tires for the other one. Will try red tape , since I already ordered it.

In my book any bike with a threadless fork is a modern bike, and therefore the conventions of modern bike setup apply. Provided the handlebar height and reach are appropriate to get you a good fit zero or minimal spacers will improve the feel of the front end, and to me that trumps any aesthetic concerns.

I'll admit that anything more than a 6 degree stem flipped up looks pretty bad, but a -17 stem on a modern bike should really be a last resort if there's no other way to get the bars low enough.

Unless you are racing Paris-Roubaix (in which case green Vittoria Paves or green sidewall FMBs are acceptable) colored tires are gross.

Matching bar tape to frame color or details only works if it matches *exactly*.

That Fuji might be the sleeper of the aluminum racing bike world. All anyone speaks of is the CAAD, but those Fujis are great performers in crits and road races and very well priced. I have several teammates who have raced them extensively. Congrats.

The cranks could be more red or just black ...but still Hot.

Probably minus 10 mm of lenght and plus 7 deg of angle to the stem would allow to level levers... (?)

Love it! I just sold my black November frameset to a friend and have a white one on the way. The black was sweet, but I just have a thing for white bikes.

I think that all of the individual parts are stellar, but the pic doesn't work for me - the slammed -17 stem, the (awesome but thick) brake caliper and the perspective all makes for a crowded-looking front end. I mean, I still think it's hot, but it could be presented a little better.

I could see maybe a -7 degree stem... but I love that bike. Nice work. Tons of bike bling!!!! Q-rings....nice.
