Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Statistically, the majority of girlfriends are Asian.

This isn't special.

Haha, never occurred to me that someone may think that. Nope, it's the signature of the painter; Jack Kane of Jack Kane Custom Racing Bicycles. They did an awesome job and are extremely professional to work with. It almost looks more like a gel coat than paint since it is so deep!

BTW, I learned a new rule; no valve stem caps or collars. I'll get it right one of these days!

My girlfriend (future fiancé / future wife) is also Asian... it will be a Battle of the Asians...

And what are the chances the mods delete/move a GF edition if I post it in the 41? Perhaps the requirement is two fold... you must post a picture of your girlfriend and your bike, in the same thread... bonus points if your girlfriend is on your bike?

I'm 30, she's 32... lived together for years... just bought a condo together... and for those with an Asian girlfriend, I'm sure you can appreciate some of the cultural differences. Her family is planning a trip to Taiwan later this year and if there's not a ring on the finger, I can't go.

so a 1985 aluminum Cannondale, with all paint sanded off and polished, is hot........but a 2013 Carbon Evo isnt? wow, tough crowd...lol

I had just moved the ISM Century to the new Evo when I took that pic. Now it has a generic on it for when/if I ever ride it again.

The MASI is my g/f's and is a pretty nice ride too.

The Ca'd I was talking about was the EVO. Did not pay enough attention to the first one to see what it was. I don't think any of them are ugly but rather the only one I consider hot is the Evo.

Oh, I apologize. I saw Ca'd and thought you were referring to a CAAD (aluminum). I now realize you meant "cannondale" (which both are, but you wouldnt know the polished aluminum was a cannondale).

I take no offense at others opinions of my bikes, so wasnt upset anyway (hence the "lol" in my original statement).

yes, the new Evo is definitely hot....Ive only been on 2 short rides with it and love it. It gets to hit some streets and hills tomorrow morning!

I'm also a very satisfied customer of Jack Kane's custom work. I had them custom paint my Ridley Noah last year and the finished product was truly exceptional. I had plan on sending down my other frameset this year but I've got a Ti project that I'd like to build up first. But JKCRB will be my go to business for any custom paint jobs.

Can you post a pic of both your bikes again? I think it's that time of the year. You have the hottest bike in this thread... and possibly the world. g3c and B10 may disagree, but I don't care!

Sorry but not. I am sure it is a great bike but it has an identity crisis between modern and old school. I think it'd look hot if you were to go back to an old school crank, put DT shifters, different stem, off with the bottle cages and matching wheels (saw you comment). I'd go backwards in terms of looks to the 90's. Bet is rides good though.
