Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm sorry but why would you go spend money on NOS stuff for the authenticity and looks, and then put brifters on this bike?

I understand its more comfortable, but if vanity is what you are going for, those brifters don't match at all with the bike. At least get some classic brifters off Ebay: Vintage Shimano Dura-Ace ST-7400 Road Bike Shifter Set 8 Speed Drop Bar | eBay

Yeah... unfortunately they have a slightly sloping top tube in size 48 and 50. Although I can still live with this look and I think other brands usually have super ugly top tube angles in these sizes.

you should put it in a smaller ring, or cassette gear, to take off some strain off of that derailleur.

Been over a year since I've posted this one and made a few changes. Got rid of the aero wheels and went to Shimano RS81's, latex tubes, GP4000's have become my favorite tires, and use Speedplay pedals instead of Look now.

Prepared for the flaming I shall receive for the blue bar tape, had a nice wreck, trashed the black tape and figured I'd always wondered what it would look like so I retaped in blue. Saddle height 99CM, bar height 92CM. And yes, if you didn't notice the subtle markings on the bike, it is in fact a Fuji

It's frustrating that I can't buy a Colnago C60 in my size (because of the super sloping TT). It only comes in 42S or 45S

Sample of Chloe Hosking's bike (albeit a V1R, but it's almost the same geo when I saw a C60)

How far is Mt. Hood in that picture?

I'd have to ride to it. Like Frodo needed to go to Mt. Moria.

^^ Hot

But would be hotter without valve caps, and crimp some cable ends on before they get frayed!

Interesting, never thought of doing that. But I'm a sucker for a sexy 3-pronged crimp. Especially if it's gold

The shadows on these pics may be a bit much but I am sure some of you may be able to appreciate what they are.

New bar tape. Some Supacaz!

New aerotoy

Not a whole bike yet but I find it smoking hot as a wall hanger.

I understand the wire bottle cages in a way - had some on my steel bike, too - but was so disappointed with how easily they let bottles go flying out on bumpy descents, they just had to go. Other than that - all the other details - it's outstanding!
