My 2018 Ritchey Road Logic - I painted this (wasn't a fan of the geriatric Metallic Skyline Blue it originally had) and I use this as my travel bike and pack it wherever I go. Right now i'm exploring the roads around Southern Vietnam. Glad I have 28c tires on this and the understated paint job to not attract too much attention, from a distance. The next stop will be Taiwan where I hope to pick-up some mid-depth carbon wheels while i'm there.

I haven't had a chance to weigh it yet, but my guess from feel is in the high-16lbs. The Rival cranks on there add to the weight but I love how that generation of SRAM looked so understated to go with the bike. Love how the bike rides, too. I have a 2015 Team Machine SLR01 which is a rocketship to ride but I find myself spending an equal amount of time on the Ritchey.

That is a steel frame, correct? Did you strip the original paint off? What kind of primer did you use?
Thanks!

I have the same bars but yours have some added 'Ritchey' logos facing you near the stem which threw me off. I agree that they are super comfortable and don't look out of place on a non-aero frame at all. I may have to re-wrap mine like yours to get rid of the tape.

Right, Ritchey Logic steel. The tubes are ED coated on the inside for corrosion protection but as added prevention I sprayed the inside with a frame saver. I paid a paint shop to sandblast the outside paint away (with a request for them to carefully mask the exposed interior areas to not blast away the ED coat) then I sprayed the primer and paint with a gun. The primer is also from the car body world, a 2-part epoxy primer, and then I sprayed 2 coats of paint. It is a single stage paint from PPG (a pigmented clear coat, meaning color and clear coat combined). It was my first time spraying single stage, so far it's holding up quite well.

My bars are the 2nd generation, maybe yours is the 1st??? I wish mine didn't have the logos to be honest, but I've gotten used to them.

I'm sure the wheels will offend a good chunk of people I was expecting to hate them and take them off immediately but I actually really like how they ride!

Yes, generally speaking, those wheels ARE offensive, but you know, they rather make the ensemble there. Not my thing, but it doesn't look half bad - kinda smart looking, actually.

On another bike and color combo, these might be offensive, but here, OOF, so hot. And the black tires. Thank you for those.

Right?? I swear I was the last guy (i thought) to have white decals on wheels. But for some reason on this frame it just works for me. Thanks for the comment!

I am waffling between thinking leave the wheel decals on and have them removed. Tend to think removal would make it too black and leave it unbalanced. I would definitely remove the little periods or whatever those rectangles are supposed to be.

I'm a graphic designer (which is no guarantee they'll be good haha) and have used few affordable custom decal places for moto racing purposes before. I think I'm gonna give this a go!
