Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I've never been a big fan of the Bianchi baby blue color but that aside, nice bike. A few points when taking a picture of your bike, the crank arms should be level and for goodness sake lose that bottle cage. Go with carbon next time.

you see- I’ve always found cranks to be a contentious point - some advocate it as a continuation of the seat tube... but with garage door I can soon spin that to 3 o clock... don’t see the issue with the bottle cage - nice, classic design unlike many ostentatious carbon affairs!
I’ll admit post is a little high as it had just replaced a mismatched 3t number so is about a cm higher than it should be . But I’m a lanky rower with monkey arms so it won’t change much :-)

Is the cage aluminum or stainless? The aluminum ones always grimed up my water bottles. Stainless I am told doesn't. I'd keep it if it was stainless but if it mucks the bottles...

Are you referring to the Bianchi or the Betty Leeds? The Betty is definitely pointed down, but its hard to tell with the Bianchi if it's the whole room or the saddle too.

it is indeed. I run zipp 303s too - I do need to de-logo the stem but it’s tough to do when it costs a bomb!

I'd love to build the Specialissima with Campagnolo Super Record 12-spd and Bora Ultra 35's. My next bike will be either a Time Skylon or this.

no experience of Times but the Bianchi rides very well- but I’ve found paint to be delicate and getting the rear wheel set consistently in the dropouts is tough ...
