Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Olympic Cycling..uh..coverage

Just scanned the 10 hours of USA Network that my Tivo recoreded today because cycling was scheduled for broadcast and located exactly 0 minutes of cycling. Well that's not true, there were coaches on bikes chasing the rowing teams for about an hour.

USA (Channel 8 on Charter Pasadena) will be showing cycling some time in the next two hours. I've got it on in the background (field hockey right now) hoping to catch Sarah Hammer's final ride.

I'm trying to keep an eye out for cycling on USAHD but the Italy v Belgium men's soccer game on UHD is proving to be quite exciting.

REAL cyclists don't need brakes... or shifters.

Yep, recorded 7 hrs early morning - was supposed to have cycling. No cycling, but they did have 90 min of speed walking and 4 HOURS of tennis. Then when it came back on a couple of hours later, back to tennis - enough tennis already! NBC seems to be all about beach volleyball too. (snore).

You should have kept recording. NBC and USA showed track cycling...at almost exactly the same time. They showed the individual pursuit, points race, and keirin.
