Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

hahaha.....although something tells me you wouldn't be one of those fat guys on a Cervelo that I can drop.
I've noticed that people I ride with who have a racing history, even if they've been away from it for a while, have something inside them which is very slow to diminsh. A bigger gas tank. Something.

Pull it between your legs in front of a mirror and comment on how you'd do yourself if you were really a girl.

Nobody cares if you shave your legs as long as you don't make a big deal about it. If it's well known that you're a cyclist people will just say it's because he's a cyclist. I walk in and out of several gyms everyday, surrounded by "tough guys" that could put me throw a wall, not a single smirk or remark about the shaved legs. Why? Because nobody cares.

You always looked like a girl. Get over it and head to your favorite bar, 'The Log Cabin.'

Which can be a good thing. I started when I was in 8th grade and all the sudden tons of girls wanted to talk to me, giving me tips, asking what kind of razor I used, wanting to feel them!

If shaving your legs makes you look like a girl, you weren't the manliest dude to begin with.

haha, you are absolutely right. One of the girls I rode with in the MS ride did notice, she spent almost 10 minutes feeling my calf. Who am I to complain?

Drink some Jack Daniels and the hair will grow back quickly, at least according to Floyd Landis.

It places the razor in the basket or else it gets the hose again.

NOBODY who sees your legs is going to care.

You wouldn't worry so much what people thought of you if you realized how rarely they do.

Just an observation. It appears the guy with the skinny (well smaller) white legs in the back of the photo is ahead...hum

Just pokng some fun at the whole topic.

To the OP my cell mate wants to see pics.

This is a truism. Takes some of us (that would be me for one) a long time to realize it.
Maybe its just a Miami Beach thing?

I'm not the only one who benefits from shaving my legs. The hair I donate to PETA goes to help save a shivering chinchilla somewhere who, sadly, I will never get to meet.

"Don't you hurt my precious." That guy was messed up. So Dr. Pete, did you never get a replacement for the Pinarello? Or do you have a new Cervelo TT rig? I think you were riding a Cannondale for a while there too.

Really? Cause it seems like you're asking a lot of advice right now.

I'd just wear pants and get over it. Or wear shorts and get over it. If you don't make it a big deal, other people won't make it a big deal. If you get creative with the tanning lotion then you might have a problem.

It's like the one poster already said, don't start freaking out man. You don't want to be the guy with the hammer.

Or you could wear a mini skirt to highlight your new sexy lady legs.

Anyways enough complaining how about some solutions. I was thinking about tanning some defenition into my legs- creatively applying sunscreen to make it look as though i have muscles even though I don't.

This is a stopgap solution until my hair grows back so if anyone has any experience with this I have some questions:

1. what SPF should I be using?
2. I live in FL but should I visit a tanning bed for faster results?
3. what is the best pattern to use?
3a. should I put sunscreen on the parts that I want to look muscular or should I trace the outlines of muscles with sunscreen?
4. how fast does leg hair grow?

Thanks!
1. No SPF.

2. Yes

3. Have some deifinition in the first place.

4. Trace the outlines.

5. Couple of months - from my body building days.
