looking to buy a trek 7.3fx, good place to buy in Indianapolis area?
I'm going to buy a Trek 7.3FX bicycle here in the next two weeks. I've been looking in columbus indiana as that's where I work. The local bike shop has a red one for $599. What are you all typically paying for this bike? Do any of you know of a good bike shop between Columbus and Indy to get a good deal on one?
thanks
thanks

Matthews will probably have a better selection, but I think BGI has much better customer service compared to Matthews and Gray Goat. If you can wait a week, they will be having their annual Labor Day sale next weekend at the North store. You might check with Bob or Preston at South to see if they will be able to do the sale deals at the south store. Both are great guys to work with.

good choice in bike. I used to have a 7.3fx and absolutely loved it. Then the road bike bug hit, and I haven't been able to satisfy my craving yet...

thanks for the replies everyone
i looked at BGI's website. they have two 7.3 FX bikes listed. One is $599 and the other is $519. I have no idea why they have two prices.
What are you folks paying for this bike new where you are at?
My local bike shop has a red one for $599, is it resonable to ask them for sell it for a lower price. I'd like to pay around $500 out the door price but I also understand that he has to make some money to stay in business.
thanks

My wife just bought a Specialized Allez at Gray Goat. It was a really positive experience with great customer service. I think they carried the 7.3FX. They give free tune ups for life. I bought a 7.5FX at the Bike Line in Broadripple, which is the LBS closest to my house. They only give one free tune up and customer service isn't nearly as good. Matthews is a good shop, didn't know they carried Trek now? I haven't been there for a year or two. As far as pricing goes, I would expect Trek dealers to have similar pricing, so look for customer service, free tuneups for life, etc...

I also get great service from Gray Goat. Bike popularity and sales are up, so prices are firmer. Doesn't mean can't try bymakin an offer - they worst that can happen is "no."
