Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Fay Fay Go Away

Well, after dumping on our FL buddies for five days the B*tch-Called-Fay is forecast to move up through the mid-Atlantic dumping buku rain next week.

Time for those of us who told Merlinextra to HTFU to put up or shut up.

Good thing I have a scuba rating...

It took a 1/2 hour to clean my drivetrain after today's ride but at least I could ride. Most of the week has been a washout, literally. ~14 inches of rain will do that but just a bit north of me they're talking 2 feet.

went and scouted my normal routes yesterday and I have never seen so much tree debris in the road. Most of the bike lanes are filled with branches and piles of pine needles and some roads are still under water. Going to take a few weeks to completely clear this up.
