Um yeah if it's a "modern" style bike the SKS are your only choice.
Your biggest issue is tire / frame clearance, which is why the SKS are designed the way they are.
If it's a more traditional tubed bike, you can mount just about any brand with a little ingenuity and the right hardware. I like the ESGE's but there are plenty of good ones. Get the long kind so the front goes really low to keep your feet dry.

The hard part is getting all the other guys in the race to use them, too.

SKS raceblades are way overpriced, get a set of Planet Bike SpeedEZ Road fenders. I picked up a set last week and they work great. I picked up a set for $30 at an LBS.

Bike ≠ Car ≠ Ped.
The thing is, the Race Blades and SpeedEZ fenders don't keep gunk from the brake calipers, bottom bracket, and drivetrain. If you're going to ride in the rain often, it might be better to just have another bike with full fenders.

I just road through a nice shower today.
SKS race blade rear works good enough, but the front is useless if your bike has an oversized downtube.
I use the front on my lugged bike and swap the rear between it and my CAAD9. Front fender or not, my legs and feet still get wet and dirty in the rain using the race blades.

Raceblades are handy for crap weather training, especially if your training ends with arriving at work. Around here you have to deal with a lot of weather in the Spring and Fall.
