Flite Ti saddle replacement..

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Flite Ti saddle replacement..

My five to 10 year old Flite Ti saddles, with the leather worn through, were comfortable...but not as much as my Turbo saddles from even longer ago. I planned to buy a uber light Flite SLR and give that a try, for about $130 mail order.

Visited a Trek LBS on Sunday and they had some Bontrager inForm RL saddles on sale for $70. As a general rule, I'm not big on Trek bikes and stuff...

The hype is that they measure your "butt bone" spacing, and the saddles come in mini, medium, and WIDE-BODY widths. I was shocked, but the saddle is much more comfortable and about the same weight. Overall length is about 1.5 cm less, and I had to raise the seatpost about 4 mm, but it was at the first ride.

Your smileage may vary...

I've been very happy with my Inform saddle. Good fit, cheap, and relatively light.
