2006 Cannondale Synapse. $1600 - Deal or No Deal?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2006 Cannondale Synapse. $1600 - Deal or No Deal?

I'm really thinking about getting this..
The height is about perfect for me. If i do get it, i'll go to the LBS and get fitted.

Thoughts or things i should ask the seller?

Thanks!

The Synapse is not a girls' bike. The Synapse Fem is a girls' bike.

Once you go through puberty that "man point" of yours will stop being a point and will grow to be a full-sized penis.

If it's carbon w/Ultegra it's a good deal.

A friend of mine bought a closeout carbon/105 last year for $1500, I rode it, it's a nice bike.

I ride an 08 Synapse. Perfect blend of performance and comfort. I'm actually surprised how comfortable it is for long rides. I'd think $1600 is fair for near mint shape, probably a little high for the average 06.

Ultegra is just fine. My dérailleurs, brakes & shifters are Ultegra and the stuff is just fine. Nothing wrong with that at all. The stuff is fantastic and shifts (IMHO) just as good as Dura-Ace. Unless you care about a few grams on weight savings, I think the Ultegra is a great choice.

If the bike fits and is in good shape, it sounds like a good deal to me. Go for it.
