Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have a feeling we're not going to have to dig too deep.

Glasses with clear lenses way too large for my face, and my number is a sail!

My first attempt at motor pacing, I guess I should have used the search function.

The STP from a few years back and my fredmobile. Both bikes still get ridden plenty. On the STP ride, the only thing I regretted was not strapping a couple cinder blocks to my rack so I could at least go for the heaviest bike. Incidentally, I'm lugging other peoples' gear as well as my own.

Aside from the obvious mistakes in the photos, that's gatorade you see on those bottles. I drank about 2 gallons on that ride and wound up puking even though I finished just fine. Never again.

I just started out and don't know any better. haha. I bought my bike yesterday and it has aero bars on it. That's pretty Fred-like, for a novice to have aero bars, if you ask me. I bought it used, though, so I have an excuse . I'm taking them off tonight.

10 years ago. About the time I had upgraded from 5 to 4. This was a century ride, hence to goofy helmet cover (which I still have).

About 18 months and 40 more lbs ago. I was so heavy it was embarassing to be rocking team kit on group rides. I didnt race at all last year.

Is this thread still open for bid'ness?

Can you spot all the 'issues'? Some are rather subtle.
