Is this a good deal, bad deal...Christallo
I have a chance to buy a 2006 NOS Colnago Christallo with a Chorus Group that fits well. The rest of the bike is built up with similar other componentry. Is $3000 a good deal on this bike? Okay, deal, great deal?
Thanks,
Sharon

I think that model year is the one where Colnago tried to cut corners and used oversized, uncooked rigatoni for the main triangle to save some production money. While this material is lightweight and stiff, this type of tubing is known to crack or become too compliant in wet conditions.

Thanks for the insights, but I think the only noodles are the ones in your head posing as a brain.
Does anyone have any useful comments about my question?

Check the cost of the frame in 2006. In my brief search I found one for >$5000. If that is right, $3000 for a complete bike is pretty OK. Not sure if it was the exact same frame though. It is also supposedly the same frame Milram rode in the tour in 06.
