Quarq Has Arrived
I got my Quarq in the mail today but have not yet been able to pair it with the 705. I'll play with it some more later tonight...

Nice! Can it replace the spider on any FSA crankset or do you need to match it to your model?
Never mind: I see from the order page that while they will install it on existing cranks they only support a few 130 BCD models (FSA Team Issue, SRAM S900, Truvativ Rouleur CF), so in practice you buy a complete crankset with their strain gauge already on it.

It works now. Their support is great by the way, and I am embarassed that it was my fault overlooking a stupid setting on the Garmin. FWIW, they said it is usually set by default.

This FSA CinQo spider won't fit on an S-Works crank.

The Quarq will have the weight weenie advantage over other power meters, once it is available with a light crank, such as the S-Works.
The Garmin Edge 705 head unit is 105 grams.
Wheel speed sensor 15 grams.
CinQo spider (for FSA) 133 gram. Subtract stock 91 gram FSA spider = extra 42 grams.
Subtract 25 gram Garmin cadence sensor.
That is only 32 grams more than a Garmin Edge 705 equipped bike. A CinQo added to a 623 gram S-Works crank will be a sweet set up.

They don't do Shimano, unfortunately.
I wonder if they're doing OEM for Shimano (who has announce that they will be coming out with a power meter). That would be some primo validation.
Eager to hear abour your results.
