Which is the stiffest Orbea model?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Looking for a great climbing bike. Opal, Onix, Orca, which is the stiffest?

Orbea I believe claims the 09 Orca is their stiffest frame yet.

With that said I own the 09 Onix. Climbed like a mountain goat on yesterday's ride. Stiff and responsive!

My '07 Orca is quite stiff. Can't compare it to other Orbeas however.

Also, seeing as you're in North Hollywood, go check out Boulevard Cycles in Sherman Oaks. I bought my Orbea from there and I highly recommend them. They are Agoura Cycles' second location. Worth a drive out to that location as well.

Even though the Orca is their flagship, I believe the Opal is their stiffest bike with Onix being the least stiffest (still very stiff by any other manufacturer's standard) of their premiere road bikes. The Orca I believe is slightly less stiffer than the Opal but supposedly has alot smoother ride. I was researching Orbea's for awhile and was pretty supprized when i ran across this. Now the new 09 Orca might be stiffer.

They say the 09 Orca has increased stiffness over the 08, but that could be 0.000000001%. They don't say though. I wonder why?

It is my understanding that the bottom bracket is 20% stiffer with the overall bike being 7% stiffer.

2009 Orca is the stiffest. The 2008 Opal was the stiffist until they changed the Orca. If you want really stiff for less money go with the Opal. You probably could not tell the difference in the 2008 Opal and the 2009 Orca.

The best climbing bike is the lightest bike. Stiffness doesn't mean jack diddly for climbing (or anything else, for that matter, except for rider comfort and preference).

+1 on the already stated:
Until 2008, the answer was that the Opal was the stiffest frame. I have no experience w/ the latest models.

I thought more stiffness meant better power transfer to the ground?
