Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We don't need no steeekin' mountain bikes

So on a long ride in Western Mass, I pulled out my handy Iphone, pulled up google maps and found a road that looked like it was going where I wanted and went for it (Tob Road, Westhampton). Oops. It quickly went from simply steep and crappy asphalt to dirt to what I presume to be a hiking path as I rode past a group of really confused hikers - I somehow think that they never expected to see a guy in spandex on a skinny tired road bike to come riding past. Anywho pics below, the mailbox was at the top of the hill where the path connected with a road. Too perfect.
