Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't recall anyone saying that Ryan lived in a "big metropolitan area". If he's living within
relative riding distance of this particular route then there are no big metro areas within a 4
hour drive by car. What was the point of this Detroit/Iraq murder ratio as it relates to Ryan
joining the service?

It's an attempt to somehow suggest that Iraq is safer than a large American city. Welcome to The Spin Zone my son.

What about the 10 year old kid who points an AK-47 at you? Happened to a surgeon I know. What would you do?

Or what about the kids who are carrying bombs in their backpacks, or the women with suicide bombs in their strollers? All true stories.

Enjoy your ignorance. If you really think it's an issue of CO's telling their soldiers to shoot at unarmed civilians, you really don't understand combat one bit. Of course that's painfully obvious.

I for one thought Ryanf rocked. He was a breath of fresh air in an elitist environment. I think others just took their abuse too far. I for one wish he would get another IP and come back as "fnayr the dyslexic".
