looking for 24 hole front and rear road bike hubs

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

looking for 24 hole front and rear road bike hubs

I was given a pair of Bontrager race x lite rims that I would like to use. Ive tried to find hubs online but I've only found sites that sell retail only. Does anyone have any 24 hole hub or hubs they arent using and willing to sell for a budget price?

Well you should be able to dig up some used Bonty hubs around here. I know that myself and 2 other friends have had our Bonty rims fail....when the hubs were fine. I turned my failed rear in for a warranty replacement so I don't have one left over, but your chances are probably pretty good.

I believe those with Race X lites have had perhaps better luck than those of us who have "race" wheels though, and I think the spoke count may be different, so you might be out of luck. I will say that the hubs on my Bontrager race wheels seem to be very fast, so if the spoke count fits, don't be afraid of the 'lesser' hubs.

There are plenty of 24h hubs on ebay right now. You'll have to figure out the spoke length for the paired spoke rims, though.
