I recommend bibs....and do search for bibs on the forum. Many recommendations depending on how much you want to spend.

Hammer bibs....great bang for the buck IMO....and very comfortable

look on chainlove.com, they occasionally have pretty good castelli shorts/bibs, i like these

I got some padded shorts, pearl izumi attack work well, comfy.
