Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I like it. But as others have said, I would try black wall tires, red bar tape and maybe red cable housing.

Apparently I need to say it on each page...tubular saddle bag designed to carry 2 spare tubular tires. New wheels will eliminate the need for that bag.

Careful, the wrong yellow/black combo makes it look like a bumblebee! like the chopper made for Armstrong.

Well, I just think yer yella, cowboy.

The problem with the tires it that they're a different shade of yellow than the frame, and they actually clash. Tires with just a thin yellow stripe might have been good.

For bar tape, Stella Azzura makes a black/yellow tape that would be nice.

PS: don't wear a yellow jersey

+1 for the red, it would pick nicely off of the decals. Profile Design makes a yellow / red tape which can tie the two together nicely if you like multi-color take.

Why don't you just paint the bike black?

That's beautiful, voting for yellow saddle and tape as well, leave the cable housings black.

Gorgeous bike.

preview w/ red bar tape cable housings and seat. also matched your tire color a little better. had to create fake bar tape lines unfortunately. id say this plus a chrome stem. (chrome is a pain to photoshop so hence i left it out)

lemme know if youd like to se other combinations.

I am with need a seat and bar tape. You might as well go all out. Then there is the kit you wear. I don't think I have seen a yello helmet. I better look that up.

Hmm I must say I REALLY like the look of that...hmm it is about time for some new bar tape....

Thanks for the photoshop. The saddle will be an issue since the red Toupe isn't all red but rather black with red accents. Maybe I can find a red Aliante.....

Leave it as is, Chopper. The silver rims look good with the chrome fork and rear triangle.

The yellow tires w/ gum walls are a nice touch. The black wheels / tires were bland.

Just my $.02 for what it's worth.

Edit: Just noticed wildus' photoshop... I think he's on to something with red saddle / tape / cable housing.
