are there others out there with 9 speed?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

are there others out there with 9 speed?

the lure of 10 speed is great...the whole drivetrain is lighter, but range is still the same as 9 speed, and 10 speed chains don't last as long. but am I the only one that is still on 9 speed?

There's an Ultegra 6500 group on the CAAD 6 SI.

I hate it, but it gets me to work.

I just built my bike last year, it's a mix of 9 speed Dura-Ace, Ultegra and 105 parts. Coming from a 7 speed mountain bike, 9 speeds sure is enough for me.

Campy Chorus 9sp. I'm planning a new cassette soon and I'd like to get a compact up front. But other than that, I'm quite happy with it.

105 9-speed here. Doesn't seem to be holding me back.

Edit: also on a Cannondale. The rear der. is Ultegra, does that count?

New 9-speed Tiagra until I get the scratch for '09 Rival. It works awesome and I don't like Shimano.

That guy is more common than you might think. All the time you've been spending on BF and the internet searching for new weenie schwag, he's been riding that 10-speed. Now multiply that by 30 years.

I'm running 9 speed Dura Ace here. The 9 speed DA BB was one of the best BB ever. FD/RD are Ultegra, but the cassette is DA.

I have Shimano 9 speed on my two primary road bikes, mostly Ultegra with a wee bit of DuraAce. I don't want or need 10 speed.

[added in edit] But on the other hand 10 speed would bring me back full circle. In the 1970's we all rode 10 speeds.
